Description

Selim Newaj Bhuiyan, former Deputy Director of Bangladesh fire service & Civil Defense, has gathered valuable experience over the years and earned a reputation for being a dedicated, trustworthy, and capable commander. He has been involved in numerous firefighting incidents in Bangladesh and earned a reputation for his dedication, trustworthiness, and ability. He was heavily active in improving Bangladesh's Fire Service and Civil Defense and has received training domestically and overseas. He passed Fire Engineering, Fire Fighting, Rescue, First Aid & Diving Course from East Pakistan Fire Service Training School and then successfully completed Fire Fighting, First Aid, Fire & Rescue Equipment operating course by UNDP. Also he acquires a large number of knowledge attending some seminars, training, various hazard management workshop , symposiums, conferences, modern Fire protection & suppression system installation, including a top-notch disaster management course from Japan, Malaysia, India, Korea, Morocco, Holland, Germany, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau and China. He has participated in more than 2500 firefights. He worked as Scout officer, Internationally as a Photographer, Fire Consultant at the American Solidarity Center, and as Director of Bangladesh Fire Protection Service Ltd. For his service, he was awarded many awards nationally & Internationally. Currently, he works for Community Development Initiatives Bangladesh as a fire safety, media, and publication consultant.
